About Emmanuel Oke.
Emmanuel Abiodun Oke is a social worker, nonprofit leader, and community development advocate committed to empowering African marginalized youth through education, mentorship, and strategic interventions. With over a decade of experience, his initiatives have impacted over 10,000 youths and families across Africa and the United States.
Currently pursuing his Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Georgia, Emmanuel integrates research, policy advocacy, and program development to drive systemic change. As Chief Operating Officer of Chess in Slums Africa, he has helped secure over 1,000 scholarships, rehabilitate 200+ homeless youth, and establish digital literacy programs for underserved students. His work has been featured in The Guardian UK, MediaPart France, UGA School of Social Work, and several local news outlets.
A recognized thought leader, Emmanuel has spoken at various international forums, sharing insights on social innovation, community organizing, education equity, and nonprofit leadership. Committed to Africa’s potential, he champions initiatives that bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, ensuring that education remains a tool for sustainable development.
